Babar Azam is at a career-best position in ODI rankings

In the latest ODI rankings for batsmen Pakistan’s emerging batting talent, Babar Azam has reached his career-best 9th position.

The 22-year-old batsman is only the second Pakistani to score a ton against Australia down-under.

Babar also scored three consecutive centuries against West Indies in UAE last year

He also scored 282 runs at an average nearing 56 in the five-match ODI series. 

South African middle order batsman AB de Villiers is on the top of the rankings.

Australia’s hard-hitting opener David Warner is occupies the 2nd position in the ranking followed by Virat Kohli at 3rd, Joe Root at 4th and Faf du Plessis at 5th.
