Karachi: Pakistan’s Test skipper Babar Azam has dropped down to the seventh rank in ICC’s Test rankings for batsmen.
Due to a thumb fracture, Babar missed Tests against New Zealand in December last year. Making his comeback from injury against South Africa in the first home Test, Babar scored seven in the first 30 in the second inning.
Babar has played 30 Tests since his debut in 2016. He has scored 2082 runs at an average of 44.29 including five centuries and 15 half-centuries.
On the other hand, Azhar Ali improved his Test ranking, climbing up to the 15th position after scoring 51 and 31 not-out against South Africa in the home Test.
However, no Pakistani bowler has been able to make it into the top 10 in ICC Test rankings for bowlers.
