Pakistan middle-order batsman Babar Azam has climbed up to career-best number 6th position in ICC Test batsman rankings after a great Test match where he scored a fifty and a century in both innings against Sri Lanka at National Stadium, Karachi.
Babar scored a well made 60 in the first innings where Pakistan struggled on the first day of the Test. In the second innings, he scored a not out 102 off just 131 balls.
Opener Abid Ali, the Man of the Series is now at the 62nd position with Asad Shafiq on 20th. Captain Azhar Ali has also climbed up to 26th and Shan Masood is on 41st position.
In bowlers, Mohammad Abbas is on 15th whereas Shaheen Shah Afridi who took first fife-fer is at 39th. Young Naseem Shah moves to 79th position.
Virat Kohli and Babar Azam are the only two batsmen in the top 10 batsmen rankings of all the formats of the game.
