KARACHI: Pakistan’s new batting sensation, Babar Azam is getting ready to play his role with the ball as well after getting his bowling action cleared.
Azam has gone to Brisbane from Adelaide to get his bowling action tested.
“Babar’s bowling action has been tested at the ICC biomechanics lab in Brisbane, and the final reports will be given in after a period of 15 days,” said a PCB official.
Babar Azam was banned from bowling at the U-19 level after his action was reported. He will surely be more useful for the skipper if he is able to roll his arm when needed.
Babar is now the 10th ranked ODI batsman of the world for his consistent run with the bat since his debut. He scored 282 runs in the five-match series against Australia.
However, he is yet to prove his worth in the longest format of the game.
