Karachi: Karachi Kings’ batter Alex Hales said Babar Azam often remains quiet in the dressing room and thinks of scoring runs.
Speaking to ARY Sports exclusively via teleconference, Hales said Babar is one of the most serious and less talkative teammates in the dressing room.
“Babar talks less in the dressing room and always thinks of scoring runs and I think that is why he is one of the best in business,” shared Hales.
England-hailed Hales expressed high hopes for winning PSL 5 and bringing smiles on the faces of Kings’ fans. “We have done practice sessions to prepare ourselves stronger for the matches and I hope our boys will make it this time around,” he said.
To a query about being different from other teams, the right-handed batsman said a couple of in-form players including Babar Azam could be the reason for winning the trophy.
“I mean Babar has performed really well during the last couple of months and I am also feeling that energy of being powerful in the ground. So, really good energy and positive vibes in the team’s dressing which could make some difference,” he maintained.
Talking about their late head coach Dean Jones, Hales said his presence will be missed in the dressing room but they will plan to pay him tribute by winning the trophy. “He was very much involved with every player and we will definitely miss him. This is the first time we all have gathered since he passed away. So, surely we will plan something to pay him tribute,” he concluded.
