Babar XI beat Shadab XI by 164 runs in intra-squad practice match


DERBY: Usman Qadir bagged four wickets as Babar Azam XI beat Shadab Khan XI by 164 runs in an intra-squad practice match here on Thursday. 

Set to chase a towering total of 365 runs, Shadab XI batters were failed to maintain consistency. Only Abdullah Shafiq resisted and scored a century in the side-match. His score of 106 runs was the highest individual total from Shadab XI who were bowled out for just 200.

Azam Khan scored 22 runs whilst skipper Shadab made 18.

Apart from Usman, Hasnain bagged three wickets for Babar XI.

Earlier, Babar and Imam-ul-Haq scored 159 runs together for the second wicket partnership. Babar got retired out after scoring an unbeaten 100. Imam smashed 85 while Salman Ali Agha made 54 runs.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab, and Mohammad Waseem Jr bagged a wicket each for Shadab XI.

It must be noted here that Pakistan will play the first T20I game against England on July 8 followed by the second and third T20I on July 10 and 13, respectively.
