CANBERRA: Bangladesh have won the toss and opted to bat against first timers Afghanistan in their World Cup match at Canberra on Wednesday, ARY Sports reports.
Bangladesh have dropped Nasir Hossain, Tajiul Islam, Arafat Sunny and Al-Amin whereas Dawlat Zadran, Dulbadin Nabi, Usman Ghani and Nasir Jamal are not included in Afghanistan’s playing XI.
The two Asian sides will be eyeing two points in their match.
Afghanistan on the other hand, will be looking forward to win their first ever World Cup match. They have already beaten Bangladesh by 32 runs in the Asia Cup match.
Afghanistan XI: Afsar Zazai, Javed Ahmadi, Nawroz Mangal, Asghar Stanikzai, Samiullah Shenwari, Mohammad Nabi, Najibullah Zadran, Mirwais Ashraf, Aftab Alam, Shapoor Zadran and Hamid Hassan.
Bangladesh XI: Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque, Mominul Haque, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Sabbir Rahman, Mahmudullah, Mashrafe Mortaza, Soumya Sarkar, Rubel Hossain and Taskin Ahmed.
