Bangladesh take lead as Test heads for a draw

Imrul Kayes was dismissed for 150, caught in the deep off Zulfiqar Babar, after sharing Bangladesh’s highest-ever partnership of 312 with fellow opener Tamim Iqbal.

Tamim was unbeaten on 159 and Mominul Haque was on one as rain forced an early lunch break at the Sheikh Abu Naser stadium.

Bangladesh lead Pakistan by 19 runs, but the Test was heading for a draw with just two sessions remaining in the match.

The second and final Test starts in Dhaka on May 6. (AFP)
