Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to go with the same strategy just like Sri Lankan Cricket (SLC) as they will play the shorter format (T20I) series in Pakistan first and then will think about the Test series.
BCB Chief Executive Nizamuddin Chowdary said that Bangladesh would decide on the longer series after playing the T20I series.
“Our main proposal is to play shorter format first so that players and team management can easily evaluate the situation in Pakistan,” Nizamuddin said.
He appreciated Pakistan on their goal of bringing international cricket back to their home completely but players and management views are also important.
” I understand, Pakistan is trying to bring international cricket back to their nation but we need to consider the perspectives of our players and management too, who are outsiders,” He added.
Sri Lanka who recently toured Pakistan for the Test series did the same thing by playing T20Is and ODIs back in October.
Yesterday, Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani clarified that Pakistan will not play any home series at the neutral venue from now onwards.
It must be noted that the T20 series is scheduled for January 23, 25 and 27.
