Basit Ali has withdrawn his resignations for the posts of Pakistan’s women cricket team head coach and Chief Selector of junior team, ARY News reported.

Basit Ali has taken this decision after meeting Shahryar Khan along with Mahmood Hamid, who he slapped earlier this week for criticising him in a TV show.

“I have taken back my resignations after meeting Shahryar Khan, told Pakistan’s former test cricketer, Basit Ali.

“PCB is satisfied with my performance,” he added.

Basit Ali also told media that he will hold only one of the two posts now.

Basit Ali earlier resigned from both his posts of the PCB after he slapped Mahmood Hamid in National Stadium, Karachi during a domestic game. He slapped him for criticising him for holding multiple posts in PCB and for poor performance of women’s team.

However, PCB had taken the notice of that issue and Shahryar Khan had made it clear that any incident of physical abuse will not be tolerated.

He had also announced that the board will investigate the matter and it will take three to four days.

But, Basit Ali apologized to Mahmood Hamid after he received heavy criticism for his act and it seems now that everything has settled down between the two former cricketers.
