The captain of the Blackcaps national side and a explosive batsman in all formats of the game Brendon McCullum has reached yet another milestone in cricket and this record suits the way he bats.
On Sunday McCullum became just the second batsman in test match cricket to cross a century of sixes. He smacked Rangana Hearth for two sixes on the 4th day of the first test match versus Sri Lanka in Dunedin. The second six got him to the 100 sixes mark which meant that he has now equaled the record of Aussie wicket keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist.
Baz still has some years left in him and he can easily takeover this record and establish a lead over other players in the circuit. Although he had the chance of braking Gilly’s record but he put the team ahead of his personal milestone and declared the innings.
New Zealand won the first test match by 122 runs on the 5th day and lead the 2 match test series 1-0.
