BCB shows disinterest in playing T20Is too in Pakistan

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is yet to confirm their Pakistan’s tour next month to play three-match T20I series.

After refusing to send their team to Pakistan for Test series citing players’ disinterest, BCB is somewhere reluctant to send their team to play T20Is in the country too. BCB’s president Nazmul Hassan stated that they will only send their team to Pakistan for T20Is if their full-strength squad agrees.

“Only if our all main players agree, we will send our squad to Pakistan for T20Is,” Hassan was quoted saying. “We don’t have any reservation over security in Pakistan. They have successfully hosted Sri Lanka and our women and U16 squads have also toured Pakistan recently. However, we are in contact with our players in this regard and will reveal our decision soon,” he added.

It must be noted here that BCB has already refused to play Test series in Pakistan. Their Test tour will depend on the T20I series in January next year.
