BCCI contact PCB regarding Indo-Pak series

In the latest development of the Pakistan and India cricket series, the BCCI has contacted the PCB and asked presented them with a proposition that Pakistan can come and play a series in India instead of UAE which was the original venue for the series in the MOU.

The PCB chairman while talking to reporters has said that BCCI chairman Manohar did contact him through telephone yesterday at 5pm and conveyed the proposition but he said that the PCB is reluctant to send their team to India because of the extremist activities and intervention from Shiv Sena and other related groups.

The Indian government has also agreed about the series and will provide Pakistan with full security, Manohar added while talking to Shaharyar Khan.

Shaharyar said that the PCB will suffer huge financial loss if the series is not held in UAE and having played the last two series in Indian, it was India’s turn to visit UAE and play at Pakistan’s adopted home.

The chairman added that he will talk to the PCB board of governors before taking any decision and obviously the Prime Minister of Pakistan because they are not allowed to take any decision regarding the series without consent from the highest level.

He reiterated the fact that the atmosphere in India is not conducive for Pakistan cricket team to visit although the Indian board has offered a highly secured setup for the series including a change of venues.
