MUMBAI: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is considering to demand ousting of Narayanswami Srinivasan as Chairman of International Cricket Council (ICC), ARYSports.tv reports.

According to an Indian news agency, BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur is blaming ICC Chairman Srinivasan over the pictures, highlighting his friendship with a suspected bookie, that were leaked in the media earlier.

ICC has demanded clarification from Thakur regarding the matter.

Although the Srinivasan’s appointment will be reviewed in September, the cricketing board is considering calling an urgent meeting on the issue.

Media reports have stated that BCCI might demand the removal of Srinivasan from his position.

It should be noted that Anurag Thakur is a member of Lok Sabha as well as BCCI secretary. He also has close contacts with many political figures as well.
