BCCI president Sourav Ganguly praises security in Pakistan

Karachi: The current president of the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) Sourav Ganguly has praised the high-profile security in Pakistan.

Ganguly, in an interview with a Youtube channel, recalled the security provided to them when they toured Pakistan back in 2004. “Absolutely amazing, we loved the security in Pakistan,” he said. “We toured Pakistan on their home soil as all of us wanted to beat Pakistan as we thought we were a strong side to do so,” he added.

The then Indian captain also had famous local cuisine on the streets in Karachi and also got into hot water due to not informing the security. “I had slipped through one night from the team hotel to enjoy Kebabs. I was caught due to not informing the security but I enjoyed my time there, in fact, all of our team,” Ganguly recalled.

It must be noted here that Ganguly played ODIs and Tests for India from 1992 to 2008. He is now the president of BCCI after taking up the post in October last year.
