Real Madrid are keen on keeping French striker Karim Benzema at the club till 2021 and for that the Spanish giants will start negotiations with the star player this week according to French diary L’Equipe.
According to reports the important part of the BBC is under contract to stay at the club till the summer of 2019 but the Los Blancos want him in Real Madrid colors till 2021 and for that they are trying to extent his contract as soon as possible.
Benzema is currently going through one of his best seasons at Real Madrid and has notched up 22 goals in La Liga which is his best tally since joining Real Madrid and over took his previous record of 21 goals in 2011-12. Benzema is only 28 now and has some good years left in him so the Real Madrid club wants to utilize the best years of the French striker as he plays a pivotal role in the offensive system of the side.
Benzema joined Real Madrid in 2009 and since then he has appeared in 211 matches scoring 109 goals.
