Asif has dismissed Pietersen twice in Tests and ODIs while he dismissed him once in T20Is. Pietersen is not the only one who has rated as the difficult bowler, former South African captains Hashim Amla and AB de Villiers also said that he was a threat with his abilities to swing the ball in both directions.
Asif has represented Pakistan in 23 Test matches, 38 ODIs and 11 T20Is, where he took 106, 46 and 13 wickets respectively.
