Bismah Maroof showed all-round performance to help ZTBL beat PCB XI by 63 runs in Inter-Departmental T20 Women’s Cricket Championship on Saturday.
Bismah scored 51 runs with the bat while bagged two wickets as ZTBL restricted the opponents before the target.
While batting first, ZTBL posted a mammoth total of 192-2 in allotted 20 overs. Bismah and Muneeba Ali scored 51 runs each to dominate in the match. Bismah struck seven boundaries while Muneeba smashed eight boundaries.
Right-handed batsman Javeria Khan scored 48 runs with the help of eight boundaries and a six. Nida Dar contributed 34 runs off 20 balls.
In reply, PCB XI managed to get to just 129 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Huraina Sajjad was the highest scorer for PCB XI with 43 runs. Kainat Hafeez made 20 runs.
Apart from Bismah, Fatima Sana took two wickets conceding 23 runs for ZTBL.
In the second match, State Bank beat HEC by six wickets. HEC while batting first scored 94 runs for the loss of five wickets. Khadija Chishty remained unbeaten after scoring 22 runs. Hafsa Amjad took two wickets for State Bank.
In reply, the State Bank completed the target with six wickets in hand. Sidra Amin played an inning of 33 runs off 41 balls.
