Blind cricketers protest outside PCB headquarters over low wages


Lahore: Pakistan’s blind cricketers have staged a protest outside Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) headquarters in Lahore over low wages.

Players are demanding an increase as they are being paid very low. According to them, Rs 20,000 is the wage of a common laborer.

“Class A receives Rs 15,000 while Class B gets Rs 12,000. Our C class gets 10,000 rupees. and the match fee is Rs. 500 which is not enough. Our budget has not been increased for two years,” blind cricketers.

Pakistan blind cricket team have won 14 ODI series out of 16 while they have won 10 T20 series out of 11. They have bagged world cups in 2002 and 2006.
