BoG to elect PCB’s 36th chairman on Sept 13


LAHORE: The Election Commissioner of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mr Justice (retd) Sheikh Azmat Saeed will head the Board of Governors (BoG)’s meeting on September 13 to elect the 36th chairman of PCB. 

As confirmed by the PCB’s media department, the chairman will be elected in the next BoG meeting on September 13 here at the Gaddafi Stadium.

The notices of the meeting have been sent to all BoG members that include Aasim Wajid Jawad, Alia Zafar, Arif Saeed, and Javed Kurieshi (all independent members) and Wasim Khan (PCB Chief Executive).

Earlier, the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination issued the notification to confirm Prime Minister Imran Khan’s nomination for PCB chairman. Former Test cricketer Ramiz Raja and Asad Ali Khan have been appointed as members of BoG for the next three years.

It must be noted here that Raja has accepted PM Khan’s offer to become the next PCB chairman.
