Brendon McCullum backs Amir’s inclusion in national side

The explosive Kiwi opener and captain of the New Zealand cricket team has welcomed Amir’s return to Pakistan side and was looking forward to playing against him.

McCullum added that Amir has gone through a sound rehabilitation program which is why he is not bothered to see him in Pakistan colors once again, he was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.

“He was a very young man at the time and he’s gone through a sound rehabilitation program,”

The skipper added that once Amir is on the field against the kiwi side, it will be just another player that he will be up against and not some youngster who made mistakes in the past.

“If he gets out on the field against us, then you play against the man you’re playing against, not a man who may have made some mistakes as a youngster,”
