Central contracts of players will not be renewed before England tour

Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board has brushed aside speculations regarding the handing out of new central contacts to national cricketers before the upcoming tour of England.

The central contract of players are bound to expire on the 30th of June but the PCB’s media director Amjad Bhatti has said, according to Associated Press of Pakistan, that the board has no intention of handing out new contracts before the tour of England.

It was also reported earlier that Misbah is going to decide about his future as a test cricketer and might well announce his retirement as soon as the test matches conclude against England but Bhatti declined to comment on this and said that Misbah will announce his plans in a function on Friday.
