West Indies wicket-keeper batsman Chadwick Walton has replaced Ian Bell in Islamabad United’s squad for rest of the matches of the ongoing fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Injured Bell got ruled out of the PSL and flew back home. On the other hand, Zakir Khan of Afghanistan also failed to show his availability due to national duty. Walton has been added to United’s squad as their sixth foreign player.
Walton has joined United squad in Dubai where they will take on Multan Sultans on Tuesday in their sixth match of the tournament.
It is pertinent to mention here that the first phase of the fourth edition of the league has been completed as all teams have played five matches each. Quetta Gladiators are on top with eight points followed by Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United on second and third with same points (6) but different run rate.
Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings are placed at fourth and fifth spot respectively on the basis of run rate. Multan Sultans are at the sixth spot after winning just a match out of five matches they have played so far.
