The second edition of Chairman Joint Cheif of Staff Committee (JCSC) Tennis Championship will start from July 15 at DA Creek Club, Karachi.
The seven-day tournament which concludes on July 21 will feature 150 men and women contestant from across the country.
The tournament will be played among 10 different categories, nine different for men while just one category for women. The players will test their temperament and compete to grab a handsome cash prize of Rs 6,00,000.
The event’s director commodore Habib-ur-Rehman on the occasion briefed about the motive behind organizing such sporting event and their importance to lift the status of sports in Pakistan.
“We have always been there to support sports activities in Pakistan. Our prime motive is to lift the sports and players,” he said.
According to Habib, youngsters are their top priority and then they also want to keep old age people engaged in sports.
“See, we provide equal opportunities to all age groups. We have also included wheelchair players in the game to make them a part of our regular activities,” he added.
