Chairperson of T10 League's title sponsor arrested

Chairperson of the controversial T10 League’s title sponsor company, Heera Gold got arrested in Hyderabad Deccan, India on Tuesday.

Indian Police confirmed that they have taken the chairperson of Heera Gold, Nowhera Shaik into custody.

Indians invested in Heera Gold’s Ponzi scheme, for which the group was also being investigated back in India.

The arrest of Nowhera Shaik has created uncertainty among investors in the UAE as well.

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) expressed reservations over the sponsors and organizers of the league.

Ehsan Mani, PCB Chairman, refused to issue No Objection Certificate to his players due to uncertainty about the source of funds sponsoring the ten-over league.

Moreover, ECB and SLC also asked showed their concerns to the ICC in written form, they were also unsure of sending their players to play the dubious league.
