Chris Gayle beats Kevin Pietersen in a drone hitting competition

KARACHI: Two of the most powerful hitters in cricket Kevin Pietersen and Chris Gayle took part in a unique competition – hitting a stationary drone from the sky, ARY News reports.

Kevin Pietersen nearly won the competition when he came close to hitting the camera from the sky but Chris Gayle did manage to hit the drone.

The balls were delivered through a machine.

West Indian opener will be representing Jamaica Tallwahs while English Pietersen will play for St Lucia Zouks in the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20.

Several Pakistani players will also take part in the league. Former Twenty20 captain Shoaib Malik will play for Barbados Tridents while Shahid Afridi and Sohail Tanvir will represent St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

Umar and Kamran Akmal will also a part of the event as they will play for Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel.
