The commissioner Karachi, Iftikhar Shalwani on Sunday backed Pakistan’s Ju-Jitsu players for achieving laurels for the country at international level.
“It is always overwhelming to see these kids proving their mettle in sports. It is a good sign that Pakistan have players like them who know the value of green blazer,” he said.
Shalwani presented the shields to the medal winners at international level. Three-time Asian Champion Mohammad Amir, World Silver Medalist Abu Hurera, Fatima Irfan- Gold medalist of World Cup HEC Championship were being praised for their achievements.
The young players showed their strength at the international level and represented Pakistan on high.
Shalwani, on the other hand, applauded the efforts of Sindh Ju-Jitsu Association for lifting the status of the game in the country. “I am impressed with the work they have done. They have developed the players and polished their skills to make the potent to compete at International level,” he said.
The sports promoter Dr. Farhan Essa announced to sponsor All Sindh Ju-Jitsu Championship which will provide a platform for young talent to showcase their skills.
