Credit goes to government and PCB for PSL success: Mr. Salman Iqbal


Karachi: Mr. Salman Iqbal, the owner of the most followed franchise of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Karachi Kings has appreciated Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and government on the success of PSL.

Mr. Salman Iqbal also hailed the services of other franchise owners on making the league successful as no one was confident to buy franchises at the start but these five individuals came forward and took the initiative.

“Credit goes to the government and the (PCB) for making the PSL successful, top international players are here and part of the league,” he said while sharing his thoughts at the lunch event organized by Naya Nazimabad.

“We all have worked hard to make PSL successful, people were afraid to trust but I remember that only a few of them were willing to buy franchises of PSL at the start but now we feel proud of being part of this product,” Mr. Salman Iqbal added.

He also termed Karachi Kings’ and Quetta Gladiators as the teams of Karachi, “About 22 players are in both the teams of Karachi, Sarfaraz Ahmed, the captain of Quetta is also from here,” Kings’ owner added.

He concluded by urging the fans to support all the teams but more importantly back Karachi Kings’ more.

“Karachi is the heart of Pakistan, we will fight till the end,” President Wasim Akram said at the ceremony.

It must be noted that Karachi Kings’ team was warmly welcomed at the ceremony. Quetta Gladiators squad and international cricketers were also present in the ceremony.
