‘Current management failed to produce even a single player’ Aaqib Javed

LAHORE: Former Test cricketer Aaqib Javed said current Pakistan team management has been failed to produced even a single player during their tenure so far.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Javed criticized team management for shuffling the players without having a proper plan.

“There is no clear selection policy. From Iftikhar Ahmed to Hussain Talat, plenty of players were tested but no result. This management has been failed to produce any player in the last two years,” the former cricketer bashed.

“Captain, coach and selector should be on one page. They don’t know who should play, Asif or Danish and T20 World Cup is just around the corner,” he added.

Aaqib said people were enjoying Pakistan’s victory against South Africa at fullest despite knowing that they were playing without their full strength. “Pakistan played well but South Africa played with their second strength. See, now Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe, it was not good to lose against Zimbabwe,” he said.

It must be noted here that Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe by 19 runs in 119-runs chase in second T20I at Harare Sports Club on Friday. The third and series decider T20I is scheduled for tomorrow at the same venue.
