Karachi: Former West Indian prolific pacer Curtly Ambrose loved the energy and passion of Karachiites during Pakistan Super League (PSL) season five opening ceremony at National Stadium Karachi (NSK) on Thursday.
While talking to the media after witnessing top-notch opening ceremony, Ambrose expressed excitement for PSL 5 ahead and really looking forward to its success in its own country.
“It was a great experience, to be honest. I enjoyed every moment here and it is fun to be back in a country where cricket is loved the most,” he said.
Upon being asked, Ambrose praised his former counterpart and Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and called him a natural leader. “He is a natural leader and his transformation from a great cricketer to a politician and now a PM of Pakistan is phenomenal,” he maintained.
It must be noted here that defending champions Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United are currently playing the first match of PSL 5.
