Quinton de Kock reaches to 200 Test dismissals, breaks Adam Gilchrist’s record


Johannesburg: South African wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock becomes the fastest wicketkeeper to 200 Test dismissals breaking Australia’s Adam Gilchrist record.

The 27-year-old achieved this feat on Sunday in the fourth Test against England as he bagged four catches in the second innings.

Quinton reached this feat in the 45th Test of his career and surpassed Gilchrist’s previous record of 47. He also went past his head coach Mark Boucher’s record of 52, who stands fifth in the list. De Kock now has 202 dismissals,191 catches,  and 11 stumpings.

It must be noted that South Africa have to chase 466 to win and level the series in the fourth Test against England. England are leading the series by 2-1.
