Karachi: PCB decides to issue show cause notice to KCCA as authorities are not satisfied with president professor Ejaz Farooqi`s verbal statement, ARY news reports.
According to the details, Danish Kaneria who is accused of match fixing, attended the opening ceremony of commission Karachi camp treatment arranged by the KCCA at National Stadium on Sunday.
An event was being organized by a regional association working under the PCB. The presence of Danesh Kaneria triggered a lot of criticism by the media present over there.
The board took strict notice of the matter & asked KCCA for an explanation.
According to a source, Mr Ejaz Farooqi when asked, said it was not in his knowledge that Danesh was also banned from being called upon as a guest.
According to the source his statement could not satisfy the board. The show cause notice has been prepared & the next action will be taken after receiving a reply.
A show cause notice was issued to Danish Kaneria after he was being seen with the then Director marketing PCB Badar Rafaee in an event in America.
During Sunday`s event some KCCA officials openly criticized the PCB. The association has also expressed its displeasure regarding the direct representation of only one team from the city in the domestic cricket.
Recently during the governing board meeting at Lahore the president Ejaz Farooqi showed his resentment on the decision & walked out of the meeting. He was brought in by some officials later on to attend the meeting.
