DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor has returned to Pindi Stadium with the return of Test cricket after a gap of almost 15 years.
Ghafoor marked his presence at the Pindi Stadium during Day 5 of the opening Test of the two-match series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
Last time, he attended 4th ODI between Pakistan and England in 2005. Recently, an old picture of him sitting in the crowd got viral on social media. Ghafoor clarified the buzz and confirmed that the viral picture is of him attending Pak-Eng Test when he was the then Major in the Army.

It must be noted here that Ghafoor now becomes one of the witnesses of this historic Test cricket’s return to Pakistan after a gap of 10 years. His presence in the stands encouraged cricket fans who got a chance to pose a selfie with him.
The crowd also chanted the slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and ‘Pak Army Zindabad’. The crowd also thanked Ghafoor and Pak Army for making the revival of international cricket in Pakistan possible.
