Dhaka Test: Pakistan declare innings at 557/8


DHAKA: Misbahul Haq declared innings at 557 after eight Pakistani batsmen were out on the second day of the second Test against Bangladesh, ARY News reported on Thursday.

Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes opened the Bangladesh innings but the pair separated soon when Tamim was declared LBW in the first over on a sharp delivery of Junaid Khan.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Azhar Ali reached to his maiden double century after lunch. Asad Shafiq also reached his hundred.

The pair helped Pakistan to cross 500 runs. Asad Shafiq this morning joined Azhar Ali after Captain Misbah was bowled by Shakib Al Hasan on his overnight score of nine runs.

Pakistan were 428 for four at lunch on the second day of the final Test at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium of Dhaka.

The first Test ended in a draw in Khulna last week.

Younus Khan made 148 as he shared a third-wicket stand of 250 to rescue the tourists from 58-2 after Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and elected to field on Wednesday.
