Dashing Indian batsman Virat Kohli has termed his captain MS Dhoni as the best finisher in the world as India claimed yet another Asia Cup triumph in Bangladesh. Dhoni ended the match in emphatic fashion with a flurry of boundaries and helped India lift the Asia Cup trophy.
“Then MS Dhoni came in and did what he does best. He is the best finisher in the world. All in all, it was a wonderful game,” Kohli told bcci.tv according to Press Trust of India.
Virat added that the Indian side will go into this World T20 with full confidence and he was hopeful that they can continue the momentum they have generated by winning the Asia Cup.
“Everyone going into the T20 World cup is feeling good and confident and hopefully we can keep things simple and continue this winning momentum forward. The boys have played some really good cricket and it has been wonderful to be a part of such magnificent run of form for the whole team,” said Kohli.
Virat also spoke about the criticism he faced as he sidelined himself for the series against Sri Lanka, He said that he wanted to be mentally fresh and he is glad that he is contributing for team India at the right time.
India play their first match of the World T2o against New Zealand on the 15th of March and they will face arch rivals Pakistan on the 19th of March.
