Dominic defeats Tomic to claim Mexico Open title


Mexico: In Mexico Open Tennis tournament men’s singles final, Dominic Thiem beat Bernard Tomic winning the title.

According to details the Austrian player was able to win the championship title after a tough fight. His winning score was 7-6(8-6)4-6 6-3. Earlier in the semi-final Austria’s Dominic Thiem contained Sam Querry in the straight set 6-2 and 6-2 whereas Bernard defeated Alexandr Dolgopolov 6-1 4-6 and 3-6 and reached fifth time in his career in the ATP final but was unable to win the title.


In the women’s singles Sloane Stephens retains the trophy, in a decisive event she beat her opponent Dominika Cibulkova 6-4 4-6 and 7-6(5/7) in the final four stage, Cibulkova easily beat American opponent Christina Mcbeal 6-3 6-3 whereas black American player Stephens crushed Yanina Wickmayer 6-2 and 6-0.

On the other end in the semi final of ATP Brazil Open tennis tournament third seed P. Cuevas defeated Serbia’s D. Lajovic in straight set 6-3 and 6-4. To reach the final In the second event Spanish player Pablo Carreno Busta beat his country companion I. Cervantes 6-6,1-1.
