Draft of T10 Cricket League to take place on November 5

The co-owner and the president of T10 Cricket League, Mr. Salman Iqbal announced that the draft for the league will take place on November 5.

The draft will be of the similar format as of Pakistan Super League’s, where the teams will get turns to pick a player from each category.

All the six teams involved in the T10 league have already picked their one icon player that include Shahid Afridi (Pakhtoons), Misbah Ul Haq (Punjabi Legends), Virender Sehwag (Maratha Arabians), Shoaib Malik (Colombo Lions) and Sarfraz Ahmed (Bengal Tigers).

All the owners of the teams got their pick through a draw.

Maratha Arabians have the first pick, Colombo Lions have the second, then Pakhtoons have the third, Bengal Tigers have the fourth, Karela Kings have the fifth pick, while Punjabi Legends have the last pick in the draft.

The CEO of ARY Network and the owner of PSL franchise Karachi King, Mr. Salman Iqbal urged the media to be present for the draft of T10 Cricket League on November 5.

“The 5th of November will be the big draft day, which will be telecasted live all over the world, people expect all the press to be there with us,” he said.

“We will have all the players present on that day that are to be selected in the draft day,” he added.

“The teams will be divided into fourteen categories, from the A category to the UAE players which are nominated for the league,” Mr. Salman Iqbal further explained.

While addressing the event, the President of the league praised enthusiasm of the team owners.

“I have seen the team owners so passionately involved in cricket,” Mr. Salman Iqbal stated.

“I have seen them debating on cricket, not arguing and it is what T10 is,” he said. “The league is fast and it makes everybody come together,” he added.

Mr. Salman Iqbal asked the attendants to give the team owners of the league a round of applause for their efforts.
