ECB can send their ‘C-Team’ to Pakistan for three T20Is: Reports


Karachi: England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) could be forced to send their ‘C-Team’ to Pakistan for three T20Is in mid-January next year. 

According to Daily Mail, the English cricket governing body is facing difficulties to manage their team’s schedule and players’ workload as they have to send a long squad to play Test series against Sri Lanka in COVID-19 times early next year.

Meanwhile, some of England’s player including Dawid Malan, Tom Banton, and Tom Curran have already signed to play Big Bash League (BBL), which is also scheduled in mid-January, it means it clashes with proposed Pakistan trip.

It must be noted here that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had invited England team to play three T20Is in Pakistan next year in January. ECB, as a goodwill gesture, considering accepting the invitation but faces difficulties to manage the window to send a strong squad to Pakistan for shorter format series.
