Manchester: The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that nobody has tested COVID-19 positive out of 702 people who gave Test for the widely spread virus at the bio-secure venues of the Ageas Bowl and Emirates Old Trafford.

England is scheduled to play three Tests against West Indies in July in the ‘bio-secure’ environment. West Indies’ squad is currently in England and had spent 14 days in quarantine.

“We can confirm that 702 COVID-19 tests were carried out between 3 June and 23 June with several stakeholder groups working at the bio-secure venues of the Ageas Bowl and Emirates Old Trafford. These groups include players, support staff, match officials, ECB staff, venue staff and hotel staff. All tests came out as negative,” ECB said in a statement.

It must be noted here that Pakistan is also penciled in to tour England to play three Tests and as many T20Is in the bio-secure environment.
