Ajax marketing director and a former dutch goal keeper Edwin van der Sar has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo as a player and has insisted that the achievements of the Real Madrid star can not be beaten.
Before moving to Real Madrid Ronaldo played alongside the dutch player at Manchester United and the duo won the EPL and Champions League double in 2008. The record Ronaldo has set during the past few years have also fascinated the former dutch player.
“Ronaldo always scores an amazing amount of goals. Awesome figures,” the Ajax director told Goal. “He was already good at Man United but he grew up a couple of levels.
“His scoring records are unreachable. He is having a great season for Real Madrid.”
Edwin van der Sar also wanted the striker to be fit for the next week clash against Manchester City. Ronaldo missed the first leg of the semi-final due to an injury.
“I have just one side in Manchester and that’s Man United,” the 45-year-old continued. “Of course I want Ronaldo to be fit ahead the game. I saw him training and spoke to Zidane.”
The former Manchester United player was in Madrid ahead of the Corazon classic match between Madrid and Ajaz in June.
