PCB chairman Ehsan Mani to announce central contracts on Wednesday


Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will announce renewed central contracts on Wednesday, ARY Sports reported. 

According to the PCB, head coach-cum-chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq has submitted his recommendations to the chairman Ehsan Mani for approval. As many as 19 to 20 players will get the contracts for 2020-2021.

It must be noted here that current contracts will expire on June 30 and new contracts will come into effect from July 1.

Earlier, sources told ARY News that pacers Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz have lost the contracts. Sarfaraz Ahmed has been demoted to B category from A whereas Test skipper Azhar Ali will get A category contract.

Young pacers including Mohammad Musa, Mohammad Husnain, and Naseem Shah will also get the contracts for the first time.
