Cricket is more than a game to fans in Pakistan and they have often proved it during a series of international events, successfully conducted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in the last two years.
“There is no security fear in Pakistan. We are a peace-loving nation and we want more teams to come and play in this beautiful part of the world,” a fan told ARY Sports after Pakistan won their first-ever Test series at home in a decade.
Houseful at Pindi Stadium Rawalpindi during the first Test despite bad weather and then the energetic crowd at National Stadium Karachi has proved that the cricket lovers here know how to cheer the game and their heroes.
“I came here from Mansehra and I loved the way our team played. I want to thank the Sri Lankan team for supporting us and letting us see Test cricket in our country after 10 years,” a fan said.
A cricket enthusiast from Karachi bashed Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for showing disinterest in touring Pakistan next month. “I don’t know why they are reluctant to visit Pakistan. Security has remained top-class in our country, the PCB has hosted a series of international events in the last two years then what is the reason behind BCB’s refusal,” he added.
It must be noted here that the BCB hasn’t confirmed yet about their tour to Pakistan. According to the sources, Bangladesh is ready to play the T20I series in Pakistan but not Test.
