England calls Dawid Malan for Tests after two years


LORD’S: England has called left-handed batsman Dawid Malan for the third Test against India, starting from August 25 in Leeds. 

Malan, who last played a Test for England in 2018, will be returning to red-ball cricket on the back of a recent impressive performance in domestic cricket.

Saqib Mahmood has also got a maiden Test call after he impressed the selector with his recent performance in T20Is and ODIs. Meanwhile, batsmen Zak Crawley and Dom Sibley have been dropped from the team.

It must be noted here that India are currently having a 1-0 lead in the Test series. The first match between both teams got drew while India won the second contest by 151 runs at Lord’s.
