London: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Saturday that fats bowler Ollie Robinson will join the England squad ahead of the second Test against Pakistan at Rose Bowl, Southampton.
The 26-year-old seamer was due to play for Sussex in their Bob Willis Trophy match against Kent at Canterbury but has been withdrawn from that match.
He will now join up with the Test squad on Monday in their bio-secure ´bubble´ at Hampshire´s Rose Bowl headquarters.
He was also part of the England squad at the start of the West Indies series last month, series which England won 2-1. He took eight wickets against Hampshire in the first county round.
It must be noted that England defeated Pakistan by three wickets in the first Test of the three-match series at Old Trafford. The second Test will start on August 13.
