The ECB is looking to get Pakistani off-spin legend, Saqlain Mushtaq onboard for a two and a half month long period for the upcoming Pakistan’s tour to England later this summer.
According to The Guardian, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has approached the inventor of ‘Doosra’ and the negotiations are underway.
Saqlain Mushtaq has bagged 496 wickets in his 218 outings for Pakistan during the span of 1995 to 2004.
Saqlain Mushtaq helped his countryman, Saeed Ajmal to remodel his action after he was imposed a ban by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for an illegal action.
Saqlain played his last game with the star on his chest against the arch rivals India in a test match in 2004 when Virendar Sehwag played a nightmarish innings of 309 runs.
Before Saqlain Mushtaq, another spin legend, Mushtaq Ahmed has worked as a coach with England from 2008 to 2014.
