Bristol: Pakistan women touring England are facing constant humiliation. England women defeated them by 68 runs in the first match of the three-match T20 series.
According to details Pakistan women’s team, who was white-washed by England in the One Day series was unable to show any resistance in the T20 format as well. In the first T20 match played at Bristol, the Green Shirts got a target of 188 runs, but, surrendered early in the game when they lost 4 wickets for 56 runs.
Bismah Maroof scored 19, Javeria Khan 14, Sidra Amin 9 and Sidra Nawaz got out after scoring just 4 runs. Nain Abdi and Asmavia Iqbal tried their best to support the team by playing carefully but their partnership of 98 brought down the overall run-rate. Nain Abdi lost her wicket on 24 and Asmavia fell on 35 runs on the third delivery of the final over. Pakistan women team could manage the total of 119 for 7. Danielle Hazell and Jenny Gunn took two wickets each. Earlier, England was 187 for 5, Lauren Winfield and Tammy Beaumont provided a strong base to the team with 147 runs. Tammy managed to score 82 runs with 2 sixes and 10 fours before getting out while Lauren scored 74.
