English Premier League likely to resume from June 8


Manchester: The English Premier League (EPL) is likely to be resumed from June 8 as the United Kingdom’s government has given green signal to organize sports behind closed doors. 

According to the details, representatives from English Football League (EFL), Premier League and Football association will meet government officials to discuss further details regarding resuming the tournament.

It must be noted here that as many as 92 league matches are left in EPL which was postponed due to prevailing COVID-19. Now, following the current scenario, the number of matches might be reduced.

Earlier on Monday, representatives from 20 participating clubs held a teleconference to discuss issues related to the resumption of the league.
