Pakistan’s former Test cricketer Ijaz Ahmed enjoyed every moment when Pakistan played their first Test in the country since 2009.
“I enjoyed my time watching the national team playing Test cricket in Pakistan after a gap of almost 10 years,” Ijaz said while talking to the media.
The member of Pakistan’s 1992 World Cup-winning squad, Ijaz is confident that the complete revival of international cricket in Pakistan will revamp the core of the game in the country. “I think playing cricket at home will benefit us in so many ways. I would like to thank the Sri Lanka team for coming to Pakistan,” the former cricketer marked.
Ijaz urged Bangladesh to come to Pakistan and play in front of a cricket-loving nation. “I think there should be no fear of playing in Pakistan as this place is safe to conduct all sporting events. I hope Bangladesh will tour Pakistan and enjoy the crowd here,” he added.
It must be noted here that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is agreed to play three T20Is in Pakistan next month and will confirm the Test series later.
