Lahore: Karachi Kings’ captain Imad Wasim is highly pumped up to lead the most followed franchise in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5 semi-final against arch-rivals Lahore Qalandars on Tuesday [March 17].
In a statement released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday, Wasim said he and his team are ready to take up the challenge and qualify for the final of the event.
“First of all, it’s a big moment for me to lead the popular franchise in the semi-final. Qalandars are a very good side and there are no doubts about that. We have plans for them and we just have to execute them,” he said.
“I am very confident as we have the desired firepower in both bowling and batting departments and we have players who can adapt to all conditions,” he added.
It must be noted here that Kings will take on Qalandars for the first time in PSL’s knock-out stage. Both teams won a match each against each other in this year’s edition.
