Pakistan’s experienced all-rounder Sana Mir has decided to take an indefinite break from international cricket, ARY News reported.
Pakistan’s only female bowler to become number 1 in ICC ODI bowlers’ ranking, thinks that she needs some time to make herself more potent and commanding on the field.
Mir will not be available for upcoming England’s tour which is scheduled to take place from December 9 to 20 in Malaysia. The home series for Pakistan will be a part of the ICC Women’s Championship.
In a statement released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mir said, “I have decided to take a break from international cricket and, as such, will not be available for selection for next month’s series against England. I will utilize this time to plan and reset my future objectives and targets,
“My best wishes will remain with the Pakistan national women’s team in the series against England and I am sure they’ll produce their best cricket.”
It must be noted here that the PCB has already named 20 probable for a training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi, starting from November 21. Both squads will be announced on November 27.
